Sara Hamilton, Catherine Campion, Brendan Sokler

Did you know 95% of all characters with disabilities on TV are portrayed by actors WITHOUT disabilities? While the entertainment industry has made a lot of progress in recent years in terms of diversity and inclusion, representation of America’s largest minority – the one-in-five Americans with a disability — is lagging, and neurodiverse individuals (ie, people with Autism, ADHD, Tourette) are often misrepresented or pushed aside. Please join us to discuss this important topic and explore ways you can make your productions and casting sessions more inclusive and accessible for neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities, whether they are in front of the camera, behind the scenes or watching on their screens.
